Physical Health and Safety (PHS)
The Physical Health and Safety (PHS) programme fosters a physically active culture and healthy lifestyle through quality Physical Education and school-wide health initiatives, nurturing confident, active and health-conscious students.

The Physical Health and Sports (PHS) programme in Bukit Panjang Primary School is an integral component of the school's holistic curriculum. Members of the Physical Education department strive to create an environment where students of BPPS always get the best possible opportunities to develop themselves through a physically active culture and all round healthy lifestyle.
Scope of Physical Health and Programme
The Physical Health and Sports (PHS) programme at Bukit Panjang Primary School is an integral component of the school's holistic curriculum. The Physical Education department is committed to creating an environment where every BPPS student is provided with meaningful opportunities to develop through a physically active culture and the adoption of healthy lifestyle habits.
Beyond quality Physical Education lessons, the PHS programme promotes holistic well-being through a variety of school-wide initiatives. These include organising health talks, interactive recess activities, and other engaging programmes that encourage students to make informed choices about healthy living. In partnership with the Health Promotion Board (HPB), the school also supports the Grow Well SG initiative by implementing programmes that promote healthy eating, regular physical activity, and positive lifestyle habits among students.
Through these experiences, we aim to nurture confident, active, and health-conscious individuals who appreciate the importance of lifelong physical activity and overall well-being.
Scope of Physical Health and Programme
Physical Health and Education aims to provide knowledge and skills to empower pupils to lead healthy lifestyles and to take responsibility for the health and well-being of others and the environment. Another key aim for the programme is to provide pupils with the opportunities to develop and practise good health habits and attitudes.
